Dominique Cook

Founder and Director, Jumpstart

Dominique Cook is the founder and director of JumpStart Child Development Center. She is a lifetime resident of New Orleans and is a certified teacher with credentials spanning from birth to 8th grade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

With more than twenty years of experience as an educator and former New Orleans Public Schools teacher, Mrs. Cook opened JumpStart to provide quality childcare and early childhood development services to the communities of Gentilly and New Orleans East. Her extensive knowledge, classroom experience, and deep commitment to children’s academic achievement have allowed her to build a program that consistently prepares students for kindergarten success.

Opening this center was a dream, rooted in my passion for early childhood education and my belief in the power of strong, supportive partnerships with families.”
